Connor is a 4th year mechanical and mechatronic engineering student at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). With a strong passion for robotics and innovation, Connor brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership to Armatus Robotics. Connor’s interest in mechatronics projects was sparked when he competed at F1 in schools, along with his passion for working on cars. With over 3 years industry experience, Connor has developed skills in C++ and MATLAB programming, as well as designing, testing and building mechanical systems. Connor is a 3 time recipient of the UTS Dean’s List Award. He is committed to developing hands on learning experiences to help students build their own robots and enjoy mechatronics engineering.
Johnson is a 4th year mechatronics student at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Johnson leverages his deep understanding of mechatronics systems to drive technological advancements and developments at Armatus Robotics. Johnson initially developed a passion for programming when programming his own games, which eventually led to his interest in mechatronic systems. With over 2.5 years of industry experience, Johnson’s expertise includes a deep understanding of programming including C++ and Python, as well as software and hardware integration. Johnson is a 2 time recipient of the UTS Dean’s List Award. His vision is to empower students with accessible and affordable options to learn and innovate within the field of robotics.
Connor and Johnson formed Armatus Robotics whilst working as executives for the Mechanical and Mechatronics Society of UTS (MechSoc). This invaluable experience includes organising and leading large teams, planning and running events, collaborating with industry professionals and marketing society activities. Both Connor and Johnson understand the intricate nature of running an organisation, managing budgets and deadlines, and creating innovative and engaging solutions.
